Are Japanese edition cards allowed in the main tournaments?

No, only English edition cards may be used in the main tournaments. No mixing of multiple languages in the deck is allowed too.

Am I allowed to switch decks and/or change cards in the midst of a tournament?

Participants are NOT allowed to switch decks or change cards in the tournament, except for what has been stated in sideboard ruling for Future Card Buddyfight.

Should I sleeve the cards? May I use different sleeves for G units (Cardfight!! Vanguard) / Buddy Monster and/or Flag (Future Card Buddyfight) / Main Deck and Gate Deck (Luck & Logic)?

Yes, you are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished. Maximum 2 layers of sleeves are allowed. Only licensed sleeves are allowed.

Cardfight!! Vanguard: You may use different card sleeves from your main deck for your G units.

Future Card Buddyfight: You should use the same card sleeves for the whole deck, including main and sideboard cards, as well as the Buddy Monster. However, you are allowed to use a different sleeve for Flag card.

Luck & Logic: You may use different card sleeves for the Main Deck and the Gate Deck. Sleeves used within each deck have to be of the same design.

Am I allowed to use my own playmat in Regional Championship tournaments?

Yes, you are allowed to use your own playmats as long as the playmat is a licensed product. It is prohibited to use any unlicensed playmat.

Are there any entry fees?

Entry fees may be charged at shop’s discretion for Shop Challenges. There are no entry fees to any tournament in the Bushiroad Championship Series 2017 Regional Championships. However, players may have to pay to enter the venue if a Regional Championship is held within another event which requires an entry fee.

If I am not the citizen of any countries in the region where a Regional Championship is held but I am currently residing in a country in that region, am I able to participate that Regional Championship?

Yes, you are allowed to participate the Regional Championship in the same region as you are currently residing (North/Latin America, Europe and Asia-Oceania), regardless of your nationality.

Can one BYE Card from one Shop Challenge be used multiple times at different Regional Championships?

The winners of any Shop Challenge must submit a BYE Card to the Bushiroad staff at the Regional Championship to receive automatic BYEs. Hence one card can only be used once at any Regional Championship in the region.

Can I choose to use the BYE card only on the 2nd day of Cardfight!! Vanguard Regional Championship?NEW

No, you cannot. You may only use the BYE card on the 1st Day of Cardfight!! Vanguard Regional Championship.

Will I be disadvantaged if I am given free BYEs at Regional Championship tournaments?

No, the free BYEs are offered to Shop Challenge champions as an award, and players granted with free BYEs will definitely have more advantage over other players. For pairing, a BYE is considered as a Win; for tie-break, it is based on the Opponents’ Winning Percentage, wherein BYE rounds are not counted.

For more details and FAQ related to BYE Cards, please refer to Shop Challenge section.

If I have already received an invitation to World Finals from one BCS Regional Championship, can I participate in another Regional Championship? If I win the tournament again, will I receive another invitation?

Participants may participate in multiple BCS Regional Championships, as long as the eligibility is fulfilled. However, if a participant has received an invitation to the World Finals from a previous Regional Championship of any game, that participant may not be able to receive another invitation. Should the participant win at any other Regional Championship again, the invitation will be passed down to the next available candidate.
